Chinquapin is a premier property on the North shore of Lake Tahoe. It is 85+ acres with close to a mile of shore front on pristine Lake Tahoe.  A planned community with 172 units consisting of townhomes and condominiums, it features common recreation facilities that include a swimming pool, tennis courts, two piers, boat buoys and the historical Dollar Estate.

The Chinquapin Homeowners Association (CHOA) is a non-profit mutual-benefit corporation formed when Phase I of the development was completed. All homeowners are members and together comprise the Chinquapin Homeowners Association.

CHOA has 172 members, each representing ownership of one unit. CHOA is governed by a seven-person Board of Directors made up of homeowners and is managed by a board-appointed General Manager.
